Shopping day at Makeup City

Being a makeup artist & a beauty blogger I explore a lot of makeup/beauty products, especially locally available products. My main focus is always to find good products available here to help out the masses. Trust me, we do have a lot of brands and products that we overlook and are under-rated.

Makeup City opened up its new outlet, a pretty spacious one at Lucky One Mall. Makeup City is one place that is a mother of a lot of different makeup, skin care and hair care brands. Brands you would find at Makeup City are: Krylon, Sweet Touch, Femina, Framesi, Janssen Cosmetics, GOSH Makeup, Babyliss and Just For Men. The shop has all you need, from makeup, skin and hair to pick from once you enter. From studioline makeup, to everyday makeup. Also, they have high quality professional Krylon and Sweet Touch Makeup brushes.

As usual, a makeup enthusiast cannot resist buying something once they enter the makeup shop. At least I cannot and hence I ended up buying these three out of which one is my all time favorite while the rest two are the things I picked for the first time.

1. Sweet Touch Eye Shadow: I always overlooked and thought they weren't as pigmented, but to my surprise when I swatched them at the store I fell in love with how pigmented they were. The texture is buttery, application is easy and it blends effortlessly. Bought this mauve color which works amazing all over the lids as well as on the crease to give some drama and color to the eye look, especially black smokey eyes.
Price: 350

2. Sweet Touch eye shadow brush: Honestly, I had no idea about the brush range or when they came out with them. I saw for the first time and picked it up instantly. The bristles are soft, just like a brush with goat hair and picks up a good amount of product. It's a great flat eye shadow brush which not only works best on the lids, but due to its flat corner, works best for the precise application in the inner tear duct & lower lash line.

3. Sweet Touch Nail Color - Bright Pink: This brand has been my all time favorite for nail colors since I started collecting them. If you follow my blog since the day one, you would know and if you go through my blog in the section "Manicure", you will see most of the nail colors are by Sweet Touch. For the past 2 years, I favor it more because they changed the formula and the brush applicator. It's easy to apply, it is opaque and it doesn't chip; three main things I see in a nail color. Best part, Sweet Touch has a variety of shades to select from. From nudes, bold to vibrant and neon colors as well as glittery nail colors - a great range to select from for everyone.
Price: 220

Apart from these, Krylon brand is one of my favorite in terms of quality and color pay off.

Signs of a good makeup product (what I see while I shop):
1. Pigmentation: Good color pay off & true to it's color.
2. Packaging: Eye catching, pretty & sturdy.
3. Staying Power: Stay fresh and stay put for at least 3/4 hours.
4. Coverage: Opaque if full coverage.
5. Fragrance: No smell or good smell.

You can check the website HERE to check the products and shop online as well.

What are your favorite products that you have bought from Makeup City?

L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Caramel Mania - Toffee Delice [Review]

I'm a person who loves experimenting things with my makeup and hair. When it comes to changing the color, I can try the bold colors to subtle ones. Lately, I've been obsessed with Ombre and full brown hair color. I prefer hair dying my hair at home and that's why I love and prefer shampoo dyes. If you are new, and you are changing hair color at home, it's the easiest way. All you have to do is mix all the contents in a bottle, shake well and start applying. Yes, easy as it sounds.

Glamourous Face 48+48 Eye shadow Palette [Review]

The wedding season is on, some of you might be looking for good products to buy for yourself for your own wedding or for yourself to get ready for someone else's wedding. It is really hard to find good quality eyeshadows with affordable price. All this year I kept looking for a good eye shadow palette, but was unable to find one. I ended up buying single eye shadows.

Finally, I came to know about this palette through a blogger [Sara Hassan] who did a review about it on her blog. Seriously, after reading the reviews I was so excited to buy it. Thanks to her for sharing. I wouldn't have bought it if I would have seen it before the review.

So, without wasting the time, let me introduce you to my favourite palette :)
I am in love with this palette. It has all you need. I was looking for so many colours which I found in it. I am really excited to have this palette, and it is my first ever BIG palette. Colours like carbon black, warm browns, pinks, greens are the ones I love the mos…
