Color Studio Professional - Matt Perfection Foundation in IVORY [Review+Swatch]

Karachi-ites has started to welcome Summer already, with cool breeze of spring and shiny sun, there is a day in a week which reminds you that Summer is right around the corner. Not only the hot weather, but breaks outs and oily skin reminds you of Summer too. Being a person with combination to oily skin, Summer is the time when I look for products that can keep me oil-free, are light and airy, plus can give a flawless look after covering up un-even skin tone.
I got a chance to try Color Studio Professional Matt Perfection foundation. Did I find it good for this and upcoming weather?

Color Studio Professional - Matt Perfection Foundation [IVORY]
Two compartments - L (top with the product) R (bottowm with the sponge)

My experience:
I will start with the packaging first; the first thing that attracted me the most. The product comes in a shiny black casing with a mirror inside. There are two compartments, one carries the product and underneath the product is another compartment which has a room for a sponge that comes with it, like most of the compacts. It is sturdy and travel friendly.

Moving on to the product, when I first saw the product, I didn't feel like touching it, not because I didn't like it, but because of the texture that looked like a mousse. Only the texture on the top gives it a mousse look, else it is a cream based formula. It can be applied with a damp or dry sponge, which comes along with it. It has a mild scent, which can be ignored. I received the shade Ivory. Ivory is a shade for fair to medium skin tone, with yellow undertones as described by Color Studio, but I noticed a hint of pink undertone as well. Even though the name "Ivory" sounds a shade for fair skin tone, but here "Beige" and "Pink" are the shades for fair skin with pink undertones. It comes in 5 different shades; again limited shades to choose from. For shade guide, check HERE.

I tried three ways; wet and dry sponge and with my Sigma F80 brush. The best way I like is with the dry sponge. Tip on how to apply with the dry sponge and for flawless look is, take the product on the sponge and press it against the skin and blend it downwards - don't press it too hard. This way you will not see any streaks and it will absorb in the skin, giving your face a flawless coverage.

I wouldn't agree to the moisturizing part, because it doesn't moisturize the face. Instead I would recommend you to moisturize nicely before using it, even if you have oily skin; dry skin MUST. It applies smoothly, covering up the un-even skin tone and giving your face a matte look. Summer hasn't started yet, but my T zone is getting oily. It keeps my face matte and flawless for good 4 to 5 hours, and sometimes more, without re-touching or using powder on top of it. As soon as you apply, you will notice a matte even out skin. No, it doesn't cover up the imperfections, for that you need a concealer. But, it does even out the skin tone. If you are in a hurry, this product is the best. It is light in weight, takes 2 minutes to cover up the face and you are good to go. It is for every skin types.

As you can see in the above picture, it evens out the un-even skin tone, but doesn't cover the pimple spots or dark circles. For that you need a concealer. It is not a full coverage foundation, but a light coverage which evens out the skin, giving a nice glow.

  • Affordable.
  • Sturdy and travel friendly packaging.
  • Blends in with your skin very well.
  • Easy and quick to use.
  • Doesn't make your face look cakey or un-natural.
  • Flawless finish.
  • Light coverage.
  • Doesn't clog your pores.
  • Keeps your face matte for 4 to 6 hours.
  • Evens out your skin tone.
  • Perfect for summers
  • You need to moisturize your skin very well before using it.
  • Doesn't cover all the imperfections; need a concealer.
  • Limited color selection.

All in all, this is my favorite foundation for light coverage and my go-to product since a month. I fell in love the moment I tried it on, but gave many chances to find a flaw in it. The only thing is, you need to moisturize your face very nicely ,which you should ALWAYS before using any foundation and I have to use a concealer because of my dark circles.

I will not be surprised if this finishes soon, I am definitely going to pick a back up.

It comes with the price tag of PKR 1200. You can get this from any supermarkets that has Color Studio Professional counters. You can get this online as well from and Beauty Arena

What is your go-to product? Did you try Color Studio Professional Matt Perfection yet?

Review - Christine's Face Contouring.

Hello pretty girls!

Today, finally I am going to review about Christine Face Contouring powder. You girls have been requesting it for so long, but I wanted to try it and go out for hours, so that I can actually talk about it.
Let's get started!
This is the packaging of the contouring powder. It is available at Naheed Supermarket for Rs.250/
It will be easily available at any cosmetic's store, because it it not a high-end brand.
This is how it looks like, it comes in different shades. At the back of the box, the sticker is of no.2, and at the back of the casing as you can see, it's no.1 :) Check the shade you want. I picked another one which had too dark brown shades. This one was the lightest. You can use this as a bronzer as well. I hardly use bronze because I look dark. But, for some reason, I am obsessed with bronzers these days and I want to try them from different brands. This is the first one I have and I kind of like it, as it is not too dark for me.

About the product:

[Review] Krylon TV Paint Stick - Orange

Makeup not only enhances your features, but also hides your flaws too!
Hiding my dark circles and finding the RIGHT concealer for the under eye circles has always been a BIG task for me. I have tried quite a few concealers, from different brands; none of them matched or could hide my dark circles properly. Until I came across orange corrector by Krylon.
