CATRICE Cosmetics Matt Mousse Makeup - 050 Sand Beige [Review, Swatch and Application]

Summer has started, with heat waves in most parts of the country. In this HOT weather, I was looking for something for my face; something light weight, matte finish, medium coverage and long lasting; something that does not clog my pores. Compact powders help too, but, they do not last long; neither they have full coverage. Did I find what I was looking for? Read more to find out!

Catrice Cosmetics Matt Mousse 050 Sand Beige

Airy and light yet ultra-mattifying – the delicate Matt Mousse Make-Up practically melts with your skin to give you a perfect, naturally matt-looking complexion while pores and fine lines become invisible. Suitable for all skin types.
Available in five different shades.

My Experience:
Lately, I have been into foundations and concealers (may be because of my breakouts). I have combination to oily skin; the main reason to search products with matte finish, because my t-zone gets very oily and shiny.

Catrice Matt Mousse is soft and bouncy. It is SO soft, that you would want to touch it again and again. It is creamy, soft and smooth, absorbs into your skin very easily - not at all difficult to work with. It is very light in weight, and has a powder finish. It is not heavy on your skin, after you apply it, it is as light as a powder. I personally don't like those foundations which makes your skin feel heavy. It mattifies your face, as soon as it is applied. I use Sigma F80 brush to apply it. It blends VERY nicely, without making your face cakey or powdery; nor TOO matte. It is not a full coverage foundation, but you can apply more for an extra coverage. It does hide my dark circles to some extent, but as my circles are too dark, I do need a concealer for it. As you can see in the picture, it has done quite a nice job on my dark circles. You can apply this foundation with your fingers or a foundation brush - but very lightly. You don't want too much.

It stays put for good 6 to 7 hours, without fading. It stays fresh and matte till 4 to 5 hours, if you apply any type of powder over it; after that I noticed my t-zone getting shiny. I will recommend using translucent powder to keep your face matte for longer time, even though it has powder finish. Do not use too much powder or do not apply the powder with the sponge, dust it with a powder brush. I only apply on my t-zone, very lightly. The good thing is, you can re-apply it, and it will not make you look cakey; use a blotting paper or a tissue to remove oil on your face.

When I first saw and picked up shade Sand Beige, it seemed a little dark to me. I prefer darker shades because, for some reason foundations look very light on me, after application. When I applied this shade at the store, it was a perfect color; at home it was a little lighter. I apply a little darker shade of powder over it.
Left: Catrice Cosmetics Matt Mousse - Right: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse
The packaging is same like Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse. It comes in a glass jar. As compared to Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse, I like this foundation much better. Catrice Matt Mousse is more creamy, light and easy to work with as compared to Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse. For some reason, I never liked Maybelline's Mousse. Both has medium coverage, and has flawless finish. Maybelline has pink undertones, whereas Catrice has yellow undertones. Which one do you like more?

IF you have combination/oily skin, you prefer something light weight, something matte/powder finish, long lasting, light to medium coverage - you will like it.

IF you do not like a matte/powder finish or mousse makeup and you like full coverage foundations - you will not like this foundation.

There is nothing yet about this foundation, which I don't like, except for the light shade of it on me (which made me a little sad in the beginning). No break outs yet, though I used it daily and tested in different ways. Inside the house, at the shopping centre, outside in the sunlight, with and without powder. I am very much satisfied with it.

It is suitable for ALL skin types. Girls with dry skin can use it too, but do use your normal moisturizer under it.

I bought it from Naheed Supermarket for PKR 630. If you haven't bought it yet, go get yours from Naheed Supermarket. The rates will remain the same till 20th May 2012, after that the rates will become higher. At most of the stores, the prices have increased as it was just promotional offer.
It is available Nationwide at Scentsation.

Makeup that I am wearing:
*Face: Catrice Cosmetics Matt Mousse Makeup.
*Blush: Color Studio Pro Blush - Pinkify.
*Lips: Catrice Cosmetics Lipstick - Pinker Bell

What foundation do you use in Summer? Did you try this Matt Mousse? Will you buy it?

Glamourous Face 48+48 Eye shadow Palette [Review]

The wedding season is on, some of you might be looking for good products to buy for yourself for your own wedding or for yourself to get ready for someone else's wedding. It is really hard to find good quality eyeshadows with affordable price. All this year I kept looking for a good eye shadow palette, but was unable to find one. I ended up buying single eye shadows.

Finally, I came to know about this palette through a blogger [Sara Hassan] who did a review about it on her blog. Seriously, after reading the reviews I was so excited to buy it. Thanks to her for sharing. I wouldn't have bought it if I would have seen it before the review.

So, without wasting the time, let me introduce you to my favourite palette :)
I am in love with this palette. It has all you need. I was looking for so many colours which I found in it. I am really excited to have this palette, and it is my first ever BIG palette. Colours like carbon black, warm browns, pinks, greens are the ones I love the mos…

L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Caramel Mania - Toffee Delice [Review]

I'm a person who loves experimenting things with my makeup and hair. When it comes to changing the color, I can try the bold colors to subtle ones. Lately, I've been obsessed with Ombre and full brown hair color. I prefer hair dying my hair at home and that's why I love and prefer shampoo dyes. If you are new, and you are changing hair color at home, it's the easiest way. All you have to do is mix all the contents in a bottle, shake well and start applying. Yes, easy as it sounds.
