NYX Box of Smokey Look Collection Makeup Set. [Review+Swatch]

I was never into 'makeup sets'; for some reason I believe everything in one box doesn't have that good quality, as compared to one single product. Neither they attracted me, so that I buy them. Read more to find out my experience with NYX Smokey Look collection Makeup Set.
NYX Cosmetics:
If you’re addicted to smokey eyes, this kit is custom-made for you. It contains a palette of pigmented eye shadows to create gray smokey eyes, purple smokey eyes, bronze smokey eyes and natural smokey eyes. Kit also contains 3 blushes, face powders, concealers, lip colors, 12 glitter creams and 1 black eye liner.
Price: $21.99

My Experience:
This makeup set has everything. You can create four smokey looks; natural, bronze, purple and gray smokey eyes; with glitter to create more drama and fun. From nude lip colors to a little pop of color to compliment smokey eyes; with a flush of color on cheeks with bronzers, blushes and highlighter. To hide flaws with color correctors and concealers.

The eye shadow palette contains matte, satin finish and shimmer/sparkle shades. Almost all the eye shadows are pigmented and have a good pay off, especially the glitter and satin finish. The matte and the lighter colors are less pigmented, but not chalky at all; even after building it up, you will not get very good result - you definitely need an eye shadow base or primer. All the swatches are without the primer or eye shadow base. If the eye shadows in this set are compared with NYX single eye shadows, the single ones are definitely much more pigmented.

The blushes and bronzers did disappoint me a little, because of less pigmentation. You have to work to build the color up; they are easy to blend and build up, which is good. But, they fade very quickly. The highlighter is just plain white, with no shimmer in it. Both the bronzers  are matte which I like. One of the three blushes has tiny specks in it. The middle blush, which is the darkest is little more pigmented and has a beautiful coral peachy color.

I am not into glitter eyes, but it will work great for my those clients who love glitter eye makeup. They are not dry glitter, but is with a sticky product (not too sticky), which helps the glitter to stick on the eye shadow, without falling off. They stick very well, and I am excited to create different fun looks with the colored glitter.

On to the lip colors; I think the idea of the blushes and lip colors were to keep both cheeks and lips very natural and subtle; yet with a touch of little color to compliment with the smokey eyes. The lip colors look vibrant and glossy in the palette, but they are pretty sheer when applied. They are not as opaque as lipsticks are, nor too sheer and glossy like a lip gloss - they do have color in it, and are moisturizing  like lip balms. They are not too glossy nor too matte. I was expecting them to be sheer and glossy, but they do have a little color.

The correctors are not too bad; not too good. It has a green and a purple color corrector, with two shades of concealer. One is light and other is dark. Medium skin tones can mix both of them and apply. As for me, if I am carrying just this palette, I will definitely carry my NYX concealer jar and some blushes and bronzers. The correctors and concealers didn't please me that much, neither I was expecting them to please me.

Overall, this makeup set can be a GOOD travel kit and a good everyday makeup palette too, when you want a little color on your cheeks and a subtle eye look. For me, I am still not a fan of the makeup sets, as when you want just ONE thing, you have to open the full set to reach one single thing. But, when you are opting to take everything in one box(while travelling), then this is a good thing to have in your makeup collection.

You can get this Smokey Look Collection Makeup set from Blanc2Noir for $16.49. You get 25% off. All of you who want this palette, this website ships worldwide.

IF you are a person who like opaque and bright lipsticks, pigmented blushes, don't like working too hard with eye shadows, not a fan of a makeup set, not a fan of lipstick palettes, not a fan of glitters - I will not recommend this makeup set.

IF you are a person, who like to keep the makeup subtle and light, with a tint of color on the cheeks and lips, like glitter, looking for everyday palette, like to take just ONE thing while travelling - you should check this makeup set.

Did you like this makeup set? Are you a fan of a makeup sets like this? Do you own this set? Will you buy?

L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Caramel Mania - Toffee Delice [Review]

I'm a person who loves experimenting things with my makeup and hair. When it comes to changing the color, I can try the bold colors to subtle ones. Lately, I've been obsessed with Ombre and full brown hair color. I prefer hair dying my hair at home and that's why I love and prefer shampoo dyes. If you are new, and you are changing hair color at home, it's the easiest way. All you have to do is mix all the contents in a bottle, shake well and start applying. Yes, easy as it sounds.

[Review] Krylon TV Paint Stick - Orange

Makeup not only enhances your features, but also hides your flaws too!
Hiding my dark circles and finding the RIGHT concealer for the under eye circles has always been a BIG task for me. I have tried quite a few concealers, from different brands; none of them matched or could hide my dark circles properly. Until I came across orange corrector by Krylon.
