[Review] Shape & Sculpt Duo - Motives® by Loren Ridinger

Contouring and highlighting are one of the main and essential part of make-up. Actually, everything is connected to each other. If you want your makeup to look complete, you have to follow steps that are connected to each other. Contouring and highlighting enhances your features and gives shape to your face. Every one has different face structures, to make it look shaped properly, you need to contour the depths/hollow parts of your face and highlight the top(where the light falls) parts.
You can check my post on How to Contour and Highlight.

Today I am reviewing, Motives® Shape & Sculpt Duo.

Motives® explains why is Shape & Sculpt Duo unique?
Double-sided compact that contains everything you need to highlight and contour like a pro. The dark sides create depth in areas such as the hollows of your cheeks. Using the light side brings the eye forward, highlighting areas such as bridge of the nose or chin. Contouring can help accentuate and hide imperfect face structures, making you look your best every day.

Price: $21.00
My experience:
Motives Shape & Sculpt Duo, comes in a compact with a mirror. As the name says, it is a duo. Two main things in one compact. It is a pressed powder, with brown for contour and skin color with peachish pink undertones for highlight. Contour color looks like a matte color, but it has very tiny and very little gold specks in it; which gives shine to your face after the application. It is a perfect brown color, for every skin tone. It is not too dark nor too light. It is a medium tone color, which on the first swipe is light. You have to build it up according to your skin tone, which is totally fine. I prefer building up, so that I can have the right amount of shade.
If you are a professional, you don't have to buy many contour colors for different skin tones. The highlight color is also very neutral and a perfect shade. It will match every skin tone. For me, I have to build both the colors little. I keep very light hand on the brush while picking up the product, you can always build any color, instead of getting too much product on the first swipe. I really liked the formula of this duo. It is pigmented and easy to build.
Light application of both the colors

Easy Tip for starters: I tried it! Hold your blush brush and swipe on the duo in a way that both the brush picks up both the colors. Hold the brush near your cheeks, where the brown color side of the brush face downwards and the highlight color on the brush face upwards. Go back and fourth lightly on your cheeks. This way it will be very easy and you will actually know where to contour and highlight.
About the packaging, I LOVED the packaging. I am a sucker for nice, cute and elegant packagings. I am sure most of US are. Packaging is what attracted me the most, then comes the product. The packaging is very sturdy. The lid is of thick opaque material, with embosed brand name on the top. It is a palm size compact, with a nice mirror inside it.

  • Pigmented.
  • Both the colors are in one compact.
  • Elegant packaging.
  • Perfect for every skin tone.
  • I didn't find any con, but if I have to pick one, it will be the price of it.

Overall, I loved the product and the packaging. An impressive brand and product. I am happy to have it in my makeup collection.

Glamourous Face 48+48 Eye shadow Palette [Review]

The wedding season is on, some of you might be looking for good products to buy for yourself for your own wedding or for yourself to get ready for someone else's wedding. It is really hard to find good quality eyeshadows with affordable price. All this year I kept looking for a good eye shadow palette, but was unable to find one. I ended up buying single eye shadows.

Finally, I came to know about this palette through a blogger [Sara Hassan] who did a review about it on her blog. Seriously, after reading the reviews I was so excited to buy it. Thanks to her for sharing. I wouldn't have bought it if I would have seen it before the review.

So, without wasting the time, let me introduce you to my favourite palette :)
I am in love with this palette. It has all you need. I was looking for so many colours which I found in it. I am really excited to have this palette, and it is my first ever BIG palette. Colours like carbon black, warm browns, pinks, greens are the ones I love the mos…

L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Caramel Mania - Toffee Delice [Review]

I'm a person who loves experimenting things with my makeup and hair. When it comes to changing the color, I can try the bold colors to subtle ones. Lately, I've been obsessed with Ombre and full brown hair color. I prefer hair dying my hair at home and that's why I love and prefer shampoo dyes. If you are new, and you are changing hair color at home, it's the easiest way. All you have to do is mix all the contents in a bottle, shake well and start applying. Yes, easy as it sounds.
